Learnerships & Skills Programmes

As an accredited training provider, we work with corporate clients and public sector organisations in providing learnerships to both employed and unemployed learners.  Learnerships require a learner to complete a theoretical course as well as practical training, which is done in a workplace environment, to earn a qualification. The workplace component of the qualification involves hands-on, practical learning under the guidance of a mentor, while the theoretical component is provided by an education and training provider, which is where Inside Out Group plays a critical role as an accredited Training Provider. This partnership forms an integrated and comprehensive learning programme which allows leaners to work and get started on their career while also studying for an educational qualification.

On the other hand, we also run Skills Programmes, unlike Learnerships these are short learning programmes. Skills Programmes are occupationally based and when completed will constitute credits towards a qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). The role of a Skills Programmes is to up-skill and multi-skill the workforce as well as new entrants into the relevant economic sectors. The provision of skills programmes assists workplaces to develop meaningful and relevant career and learning pathways for employees in a highly accessible manner.

Skills Programmes which are demand-led ensure that employees access more opportunities for skills acquisition; create space for the new entrants to the labour market to gain work experience, introduce transformative tools through training and education.
